Christmas in Canaan

I watched this movie on Hallmark last night and I just knew it was blog material! It incorporates an important message into an uplifting Christmas story: people benefit when they get to know someone different than themselves.

In the film, two boys who harbor prejudice against one another become friends when one boy's father (played by Billy Ray Cyrus) decides the best way for them to form an understanding is to spend time together.

I highly recommend the movie. If you don't have time to watch the whole film, check out the behind-the-scenes clip titled "Hallmark Channel - Christmas in Canaan - On Location" in the video bar to the left.

Most of us can relate to this film in one way or another. Have you ever learned something about another person that contradicted your preconceptions of him or her? Or have your views been challenged by someone with different opinions?
